Our Philosophy
Little Bronchos Preschool Philosophy
At Little Bronchos Preschool, we believe that every child deserves a nurturing and stimulating environment to foster their learning and growth. Our philosophy revolves around providing a holistic education that focuses not only on academic development but also on the emotional, social, and physical well-being of all students. Little Bronchos Preschool believes in nurturing the potential of every child and providing them with a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We maintain a safe and stimulating environment where children can explore, discover, and grow.
We understand that each child is unique and has their own pace of learning. Therefore, we strive to create an inclusive atmosphere where children can explore their interests, express themselves freely, and develop a love for learning. Our dedicated teachers are trained to create engaging lessons and activities that cater to different learning styles, ensuring that every child receives the attention they need to thrive. We understand that each child is unique and has their own pace of development. That's why we follow a child-centered approach that focuses on their individual needs, interests, and strengths. Our dedicated team of educators are trained to create engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
We strongly believe in the power of play-based learning as it allows children to actively participate in their education. Through hands-on experiences and interactive play, children develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and social-emotional competence. We provide a variety of age-appropriate materials and resources to stimulate curiosity and encourage exploration. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love for learning by incorporating hands-on experiences and play-based activities. We believe that children learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. Through interactive lessons and educational games, we strive to ignite curiosity and inspire a thirst for knowledge.
At Little Bronchos Preschool, education goes beyond academics. We emphasize the importance of character development by promoting values such as kindness, respect, empathy, and responsibility. We encourage positive relationships among peers through collaborative projects and group activities.
Parents are valued partners in our educational journey. We maintain open lines of communication with families through regular updates on their child's progress and achievements. We believe that a strong partnership between parents and educators is crucial for the overall development of each child. We encourage open communication and collaboration to ensure that each child receives the support they need both at school and at home.
We are committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and supported in their growth. We believe that education is not just about academics but also about fostering character traits such as empathy, resilience, creativity, and independence. Our school prioritizes creating a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace. By fostering a love for learning through both play-based and teacher-led educational experiences while focusing on holistic development, we aim to prepare each child for future success both academically and personally.
Long-Term Goals
Long Term Goals
Little Bronchos Preschool program has set several long-term goals to ensure the highest quality education and care for young children. One of our top priorities is to attain the esteemed NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accreditation. This accreditation is a rigorous process that assesses our program's adherence to high standards of child development, teaching, and family engagement.
In addition to NAEYC accreditation, we are committed to reaching level 4 Paths to Quality accreditation. This system, established by the state, evaluates our program based on various quality indicators, including child interactions, learning environment, and staff qualifications. Achieving this level demonstrates our dedication to continuous improvement and exceptional early childhood education.
To further enhance our program and accommodate more students, we aspire to move into a larger building in the years to come. The current Mayor in office, Mayor Wazowski, and the Superintendents of the Lafayette School Corporation, in connection with Little Bronchos Preschool, are working together to move our program into a nearby center that would enable us to double in size. This expansion will allow us to create more classrooms and provide an enriched learning environment. By increasing enrollment capacity, we can offer our high-quality preschool experience to a greater number of children in our community.
Overall, these long-term goals propel Little Bronchos Preschool program to provide outstanding early childhood education, secure prestigious accreditation, and expand our reach to positively impact more children's lives.
Creative Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum is an innovative and dynamic approach to early childhood education, designed to meet the diverse needs of children. With developmentally appropriate goals and objectives, it focuses on four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
In the social/emotional domain, the Creative Curriculum strives to foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes independence, self-confidence, and self-control. Through engaging activities and meaningful interactions, children are encouraged to explore their emotions, build healthy relationships, and develop a strong sense of empathy and resilience.
In the physical domain, the curriculum offers a range of stimulating activities that enhance children's gross and fine motor skills. From active games to sensory experiences, it aims to develop coordination, control, and body awareness, ensuring that children become confident and capable movers.
The cognitive domain is nurtured through stimulating experiences that challenge children's thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning abilities. The curriculum includes diverse activities that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and creative expression, cultivating a lifelong love for learning.
Lastly, the language domain emphasizes the importance of effective communication skills. Through rich language experiences, children develop vocabulary, listening, speaking, and early literacy skills, laying a solid foundation for their future academic success.
The Creative Curriculum provides a comprehensive and holistic approach to early childhood education, ensuring that every child thrives and reaches their full potential in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
